STAT helps guide IT program and project managers in the alignment of business and IT functions to VA Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards, such as the Technical Reference Model (TRM) or Enterprise Design Patterns (EDPs). Requests to deviate from VA technical standards for a specific project or office are quickly routed by STAT to the correct authority for review and approval.
STAT focuses on the interactions of the EA alignment components and the Veteran-focused Integration Process (VIP) and Development and Operations (DevSecOps) processes. These components include people, process, technology, policy, solutions, and customer relationship management. STAT leverages the VIP and DevSecOps frameworks to ensure projects/products align with Design, Engineering and Architecture (DE&A) requirements and comply with related VA policy. This enables the timely delivery of secure IT capabilities of the highest standards to our nation’s veterans.
STAT engages with project/product teams to:DEA user story assignment, evidence documentation, and release results are wholly performed and self-certified by VIP and DevSecOps project teams. For instructions on how to conduct self-certified DEA, please visit the DEA Alignment Portal (Note: A VA account is required to access the STAT Agent SharePoint Portal).
